Modern .NET APIs are easy to start but difficult to operate in production. In this full day hands on lab, you will design and build a modern minimal API using .NET and evolve it into a secure, scalable, production ready system. The lab focuses on API boundaries, request handling, validation, error contracts, security, performance, and observability. You will learn how to make architectural decisions that hold up under real world traffic and changing requirements. In the final portion of the lab, we will explore how APIs evolve beyond synchronous request handling and when to introduce background processing and event driven patterns without breaking API contracts.
You will learn:
- Design and build production ready minimal APIs using modern .NET practices
- Apply security, validation, performance, and observability patterns for real world APIs
- Understand when and how to evolve APIs using background processing and event driven patterns
Attendee Workstation Requirements:
- You must provide your own laptop for this hands-on lab
- All other requirements will be posted two (2) weeks prior to the conference
