There are a lot of things going on in the .NET ecosystem, and a lot of it is has to do with the way that we build solutions for the web. However, it can sometimes be tricky to try and stay on top of all the new features, while at the same time try to stay productive at work... That's where this workshop comes in!

For one day, Chris Klug, a developer, software architect and public speaker from Sweden, will walk you through some of the most interesting and useful features, tools and technologies in the ASP.NET ecosystem. Including both new features like .NET Aspire and minimal APIS, and some older ones that you might have missed, like Project Orleans and how to do integration testing of ASP.NET projects. It will even cover a few older, "basic" things, like authentication and authorization to make sure you understand how they work.

The goal is to give you an understanding of a wide a set of features and technologies that can help you build the best web-based solution possible.

Some of the included topics are:

  • Authentication/Authorization
  • YARP
  • Minimal APIs
  • Project Orleans
  • .NET Aspire
  • gRPC
  • Integration testing
  • Automated deployments

And it says "some of the included topics", as the goal is to make it an interactive workshop to give you what you need. And to answer your questions!

You will learn:

  • To understand that there is more out there than ASP.NET Core MVC
  • To understand what other options might make your development life easier
  • To have fun
