GitHub Copilot promises to be “your AI pair programmer”. In this session, Brian will dig into how you use GitHub Copilot to help you focus on solving bigger problems. GitHub Copilot uses the OpenAI Codex to suggest code and entire functions in real-time, right from your editor including Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and certain JetBrains IDEs.

Brian will cover installation, configuration, and demonstrate different languages, including JavaScript and C#, using GitHub Copilot. He’ll cover the current licensing model and talk about how you can get started right after his session. Don’t fly solo, come learn how GitHub Copilot can help you bypass creating boilerplate and repetitive code patterns, and more time on what matters: building great software.

You will learn:

  • What is GitHub Copilot
  • How much it will cost to use it
  • See examples of GitHub Copilot in use
