Modern applications often are highly interactive and when looking closer, they share a lot of requirements with what game developers have been doing for decades.

In this session, we will take a closer look at Unity3D, a very popular toolset that has its roots in game development but since then has been adopted by many application developers who for example want to develop Virtual Reality applications.

Since Unity3D uses C# as its ""scripting"" language and .NET as part of its framework, it has a lower barrier of entry compared to many other tools.

We will look hands-on at what Unity3D can do and at some of the quirks when developing software applications utilizing Unity3D. Our focus will be on Enterprise Developers and how they can be successful in leveraging Unity3D.

We will discuss how some more complex projects will need to incorporate more diverse skill sets compared to a traditional enterprise development project.

Decision makers will learn about the value proposition of adopting Unity3D in their organizations and challenges that development teams may face.

You will learn:

  • Understand the role of game development tech in modern software applications
  • See how Unity3D can be utilized by Enterprise Developers
  • About some of the considerations when adopting Unity3D
