Come hear Microsoft BI Architect, SSAS Maestro and Data Platform MVP Bill Pearson introduce the Data Analysis eXpressions (DAX) language, and demonstrate its use in the design and construction of custom calculations (both columns and measures) in Power BI. You'll explore many commonly used DAX functions in meeting requirements that are regularly encountered in the business environment. In reaction to each requirement, you'll outline the components of simple DAX syntax, and put DAX into action writing basic expressions and queries.
