Tim Huckaby is an industry leader specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, AR/MR, Data Visualization, and Edge Computing. With more than 35 years of technology experience, he previously served as a development lead on a Microsoft server product architecture team and has worked for or with Microsoft for more than 25 years. He is a Microsoft Global RD, Microsoft AI MVP, and has served on numerous industry councils and advisory boards. Over his 20+ year speaking career, Tim has delivered keynote demonstrations alongside Microsoft executives including Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer and has presented at major technology and industry events worldwide, including CES. He is consistently ranked among the top speakers at these events and has received numerous awards for his technical presentations and keynotes. An accomplished author and industry commentator, Tim has written three books, hundreds of magazine articles, and numerous online publications. He also regularly works with the technology press and financial analyst community on technical messaging and emerging technology trends. Tim’s technical expertise spans AI, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, enterprise LLM applications, AR/VR, voice and gesture recognition, facial and object recognition, data visualization, and emerging user experiences across cloud and edge platforms. He was dubbed a “Pioneer of the Smart Client Revolution” by the press for his early prediction that locally installed applications would become dominant on smart devices—a precursor to today’s app store model. In 1999, Tim founded InterKnowlogy, a custom application development company specializing in enterprise software and emerging technologies including AI, Computer Vision, 3D, Data Visualization, and AR/MR, serving as board chair and chief technical strategist until 2021. He later founded Actus Interactive Software, which evolved into publicly traded VSBLTY, a computer vision technology company providing retail analytics and security solutions including audience measurement, sentiment analysis, object recognition, and facial recognition, where he served as CTO until 2021. Tim has been named on multiple software patents and currently serves as CTO of Lucihub, which uses AI and software automation to power its suite of professional video production products.
